Kathleen is a Lead Mentor at AIM House. She joined the AIM team in July 2015 as a mentor and eventually stepped into the lead position in August 2016. She is passionate about her role and thrilled every day that she gets to do what she loves most: connect with others in a growth-oriented way.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Skidmore College, and spent summers working with at-risk teens in upstate New York. It was one of these summers that she discovered the mentor relationship, a hard and rewarding experience that gifted Kathleen with the awareness of how powerful and transformative one healthy relationship can be. She was hooked, and knew from then on out that the foundation of her life would be built on the continuous development of self-awareness, service, and relationship.
Her path brought her to Boulder, CO to earn a Master of Arts in Transpersonal Psychology from Naropa University in 2013. Since then, Kathleen has gained direct experience in individual, group, and family therapy, as well as private mentoring for families. Kathleen brings a mindfulness-based approach to her work at AIM. She was called to deepen her yoga practice and became a certified yoga teacher in 2014, which has certainly become an indispensable tool and resource in working with others. Today, her life is dedicated to service and growth. Kathleen aims to fully bring her authentic self to her job as a program manager. She believes in real contact and the power of meaningful relationships, and thankfully she gets to practice what she believes in every single day!
